What if competition didn't exist...
I came across an image that really inspired me and I asked myself this question: what if competition didn't exist? What would the world be like if competition didn't exist. My answer is very simple, my perception is that it would be a world where mutual aid and support would take over. You know, as simple as that!
For ages, we have seen people fighting for a territory, in the name of a religion while others have fun destroying with words or gestures companies that are called "competitors".
But if we could just take the time to see things differently.
"War, war is not a reason to hurt each other." (I hope you are familiar with this allusion to a great classic of Quebec cinema). I like this sentence and the message it conveys. No, it is not necessary to hurt each other to succeed. But who created this war between companies? Who decided one day that we had to be stronger or more powerful than this person or that company?
What if we turned the tables and decided to transcend ourselves to a higher power and work together by supporting each other, helping each other. And why not also, by referring to each other.
a beautiful Kingdom in a parallel world of entrepreneurship where all women help each other and shine? Yes, you read that right: lots of women gathered together who help each other and who don't bitch at each other. Women who don't try to crush one to be more successful than the other.
In this beautiful, sparkling kingdom, women who work in the same field and in different companies talk to each other and help each other find ways to advance their businesses a little further. They give each other advice, they help each other get back up in difficult times, sometimes they refer to each other, and they will even collaborate. Sacrilege you! Well yes, a different way of looking at competition! What if competition could be positive, beneficial and propulsive instead of negative, destructive and crushing?
The principle is quite simple, to have your place in this kingdom you simply have to want deep down to shine and help to shine. To understand that a woman can help another to repair the crown of another without telling the whole world that it was crooked. A world of mutual aid, of support… and I dare even put it into words: of friendship between competitors!
Do you believe in this kingdom or do you think I'm telling you a magnificent story worthy of Disney? This kingdom exists and I invite you to discover it if you want to shine within your company and collaborate to make the women entrepreneurs shine who will be there for you too.
